Thanks for inviting me to talk about myself, and my latest book, WOLFEN TIME.I’ve been writing for most of my life. Before novels, I used my theatre background to write plays. And, in my capacity as a drama teacher, I worked with teens to adapt Shakespeare into modern language.
I’ve been writing for most of my life. Before novels, I used my theatre background to write plays. And, in my capacity as a drama teacher, I worked with teens to adapt Shakespeare into modern language.
Once, we were rehearsing the Banquet Scene in MACBETH. That’s the one where the title character sees the ghosts of the friends he’s slain at his dinner table. The boy playing Macbeth observed those silently accusing guests with proper shock and horror, then adlibbed the line, “I see dead people.”
Of course, we all got the reference to THE SIXTH SENSE, the movie with Bruce Willis, and burst out laughing. In fact, we kept the quip in the show.
In my new novel, the heroine, Stacy Cadell sees a lot of dead people—in the form of vampires. Often these supernatural creatures are cast as heroes but, in WOLFEN TIME, they’re the bad guys.
Fortunately, Rafe Garrett, a hunky special ops werewolf from the future, is there to help the very human Stacy. He’s been sent back to present day Seattle to stop the time-tampering bloodsuckers from destroying the U.S. and causing the deaths of millions.
Unfortunately, for history to correct itself, Stacy must sacrifice the one person she holds most dear.
As you can imagine, there’s a lot of action in WOLFEN TIME, as well as sensual love scenes.
No ghosts, though. I’ll leave those to Shakespeare.
