The First Kiss

He seized me so suddenly my heart stopped. Wrapping those long fingers around both of my wrists, he lifted me off the ground untilhis mouth was inches from mine. “You may not be able to feel fear, but you should have some respect for my authority.” “Why?” I struggled not to lose myself in his electric eyes. His grip tightened around my wrists, almost enough to hurt. “Because I am older,stronger, and far more powerful than you.” “But you can’t kill me,” I argued, my head swimming and stomach fluttering at the scentof rose petals and spices emanating from his robes. “And I’m sure you don’t want to hurt me.” “Yes, but I can give or withhold knowledge, I can overpower you, or I can…” He trailedoff, staring into my eyes until I was lost in his gaze. His other hand splayed against my back, pulling me tight against his body. He releasedmy wrists and threaded his fingers through my hair as his lips came down on mine. The uttersavagery of the kiss startled me, while at the same time made me dizzy with elation.Yes. This is what I wanted. I gripped his  shoulders for support. I didn’t understand where his passionate outburst came from, but I didn’t care. A moan escaped my throat as I tangled my fingers in soft, silky hair and gave myself up to the ecstasy of his kiss.
