I received a copy for this review. However the way it made me recall my own childhood memories is all my own.

Yesterday I told you about a cute little stuffed animal named Ellie and how she had to learned to make friends. Today Ellie is going on another adventure and that is her first plane ride. This time she brings her friend Pudgy the Penguin along.

In next installment of The Amazing Adventures of Ellie The Elephant: Ellie’s First Plane Ride the mother and daughter writing team of Marci and Ellie Fair explore what it is like for children when they ride on an airplane for the first time.

They explore how frightening the airport and all the surroundings can be for a little one who would be experiencing this adventure for the first time. I think this book would be awesome to share with children before they experience their first trip by plane. Not only does the mother and daughter writing team discuss the plane ride but also some of the dangers of the airport especially the baggage claim area. Poor Pudgy. I had to laugh at the part in the book about the “strange disappearing stairs.” My first encounter with them is certainly one of those memories from childhood that stand out and I laugh about it now. Everytime I take them I recall that memory and of course I just have to share it with my children who laugh at how silly their mom was.

If you are planning on taking a trip in the near future and you are travelling by plane and with children than The Amazing Adventures of Ellie The Elephant: Ellie’s First Plane Ride (Volume 2) is one that you will want to share with your child.  It will prepare them on what to expect on the trip plus the stuffed animals Ellie and Pudgy are just to darn cute.
