New children’s book is a powerful Christian allegory that asks: Which road will YOU choose?

Outskirts Press Announces the Release of New Juvenile Fiction: One Way Only: The Narrow Hard Road by Kathie Foreman

Outskirts Press—the fastest-growing full-service self-publishing and book marketing company—is pleased to announce the release of One Way Only: The Narrow Hard Road, a charming new children’s book with a prevailing message: It’s important to follow the straight and narrow road, even when a seemingly easier way beckons.

In One Way Only, an allegory based on Matthew 7:13-14, Proverbs 14:12, and Hebrews 12:1-2, Burt Leever and his family are happy in their charming small town, where neighbors know and care for one another. But gradually, the world around them begins to change. The place they love is no longer safe. Burt, his wife Nelly, and their children must find the courage to leave everything they know and set their sights on a goal they don’t fully understand—and they must have the faith to follow their guide.

This wise, accessible story reminds Christians to take up their cross to follow Christ, leaving the things of the world behind, and to obey the directions given by the Lord, even when they don’t fully understand them. One Way Only is a lesson suitable for readers of all ages—and a beautifully illustrated book that’s sure to become a family favorite.

“As a mother of three and grandmother of seven, I wanted to create a classic tale, one that children would ask for again and again,” author Kathie Foreman explains. “One Way Only is a story that will initiate important conversations between adults and children and among families as a whole. The challenge is to obey God’s Word and stay the course, not to look for shortcuts but to stay focused on Christ, who has called us to follow him.”

About the Author: Kathie Foreman homeschooled her three children for nine years, and involved all her children in mission trips through Teen Missions International. She worked as an RN for many years and participated in four medical missions to Honduras. She has also been involved with Sunday School instruction and curriculum. She brings her experience in compassionate education to her instructive allegory, One Way Only.
