Recently I had the opportunity to read an amazing book by a new author to me of course right offhand I knew I wanted to read this book because the author’s first name is Melissa and I know how awesome anyone named Melissa can be. {It’s my first name as well :)} Before I get into my review of this book let me summarize it for you.
Sienna Harris is a girl with a plan. Her days of slaving away at Carrie’s Classic Events and More are numbered as she is on the brink of launching her own event planning company. Her relationship with Luke Price is headed in the right direction and they are approaching their one-year mark. The future is looking bright and she knows that life could not get any better . . . That is until her perfectly planned world is thrown upside down by the unexpected arrival of someone from Luke’s past. She receives the shock of her life on the night of the biggest event of her career. Sienna will now have to pull it all together without a list or a plan. The question is, can she do it?
At some point this book is a little predictable but I will say that it very humourous and an entertaining read. Sienna’s sidekicks in the party planning business are total hoots. It was also a quick read. I simply fell in love with the character Sienna. I love that she is a strong female character that is willing to stand up for what she believes in even when it may cost her everything. How I wish that I could be like? Sienna reminded me a lot of one of my very best friends.
Although I wasn’t surprised by the outcome of this book, I could read the signs a mile away I still enjoyed this book and look forward to more from Melissa Baldwin. So if you are heading on a road trip this weekend or even for the beach for a day make sure An Event to Remember…or Forget is packed for the ride.

Sounds like a cute little cozy which I would enjoy reading. Not every book has to take brain power!! Light, airy books are a pleasure once in a while!
